Resource Person : Dr. Maria Lalrinmawii is an asst. Professor from Mizoram Law College . She has acquired her Ph.d in Law from NEHU and has published a number of articles in Journals, local newspapers . She has presented as a resource person in a number of National seminars and State seminars. Her area of specialization is consumer protection law
Short report : This year, International women’s day, falls on a Saturday. Hence the institute commemorated the occasion prior to the date on the 5th of march 2025. The Resource person Dr. Maria Lalrinmawii gave a very comprehensive talk on the different aspects of gender law, focusing in particular on laws relating to women and the protections thereof. She emphasized that, as the theme suggests, there is a requirement to take immediate action upon the legal protections and provisions. Hence the major thrust of her speech was on the need to accelerate action and individual responsibilities towards gender equality. The session was followed by Q& A sessions.Students also gave their response and found the session very fruitful. Refreshments were served to all participants
