First Celebration of 75th India’s Independence Day 2022 at New Campus
Dated 15th August, 2022: Govt. Zirtiri Residential Science College celebrated Independence Day with great pride and enthusiasm. It was our first celebration of Independence Day in the new campus thus creating history. The program started at 7:30am. The Principal, the Vice Principal , the Professors and all the students stood in line on the open ground with full enthusiasm. A parade was led by the NCC Cadets after which the Principal Prof B, Zoliana hoisted the flag. This was followed by rendering of the national anthem ‘Jana Gana Mana’ with solemnity. The Principal gave a very motivational and patriotic speech on how we – the students, the youth are the future of our nation and we should be responsible for our behavior and what we do to make our country proud. He also paid tributes to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of freedom.

The function came to an end with a parade by the NCC Cadets. Today is the day which gives us immense pride to honour our freedom fighters and their sacrifices that allow us to enjoy a democratic, republic life, and we are indebted to their contribution in India’s sovereignty and total independence today.
